New-look Close Up for 2009

Close Up has unveiled a new look for the 2009 season.

Well here is the Breakfast set transformed for Mark Sainsbury's Close Up!

They do a good job of redecorating the morning version of the set, however I must say I wish they would have a similar flooring to this on Breakfast.

It is a huge improvement over the previous version of the Close Up set, and the new colouration and design gives the show a completely different feel - unlike Breakfast which still seems very similar to the old.

The new opening credits for Close Up are alright, but the first thing they made me think of was Coca-Cola. After seeing the red background with a white swirl I almost forgot about the shows actual sponsor...

Personally I'm not a fan of Mark Sainsbury standing behind a desk with a laptop - seems a bit too casual, and trying to be more like Campbell Live in the modern, up-to-date news delivery thing. If that makes any sense. Anyway, I miss the desk.
