Fairfax Media Ltd has sold the Southern Star Television production and distribution business to Endemol for $A75 ($NZ93) million, plus an earn out.The sale is condition on obtaining regulatory approvals and certain other matters and its expected to be completed in first quarter of 2009.
Fairfax Media will retain the ownership of Southern Star Factual, the UK-based natural history, science and factual producer formerly known as Oxford Scientific Films, and its 75 percent stake in leading UK children's interactive producer Darrall Macqueen.
