Tonight and Nightline is still a tough race for TVNZ, but really showing high footroads in all the other slots

Yeah One News received their best ratings so far this year on Monday.

It definitely shows how many people watch a channel out of habit though, because so many people out there are in agreement that 3 News have had FAR superior coverage of the Victorian fires.

now that's being slightly biased there to say so many are watching out of habit don't you think? i'm sure many simply watch one news simply because they prefer it over 3news

Yeah but in a way that is what I mean - people watch it because they prefer it in general based on past experience with the show, and not watching based on who is providing the best coverage at the time.

This is fair enough in a way though, because to flick between bulletins to work out who is providing the best coverage at the time would probably mean missing out on inportant chunks of information.
